Summary

In Chapter 8, Mai Zhe Lun and the prison guards arrive at the dock only to find that Jon and his companions have already set sail. Jon, unaware of the chaos he caused, sneezes as they begin their journey. After three days at sea, the group leaves the Doldrums and prepares to dock at an island. Jon contemplates establishing a 'Directional Gate' to return to his original world while also considering the benefits of becoming stronger. He decides to accompany Ace back to the Moby Dick, intrigued by the 'strongest man in the world.' Upon reaching the vibrant port city of Lu Ji Town, they meet the mayor, who recognizes Jon from a newspaper and reveals his bounty of 1 billion Berries for his exploits at Impel Down. Ace praises Jon's impressive bounty, suggesting he join the Whitebeard Pirates, but Jon declines, feeling uncomfortable with the idea of recognizing a father figure.
