Summary

In a tense court meeting, the emperor grapples with accusations of treachery against Du Yu, a loyal scholar. Fan Xiang claims Du Yu conspired with traitors to invade the Miaozi treasure vault, while Wu Shixian defends him, emphasizing his loyalty. The emperor, eager to validate his previous decisions, activates the vault's self-destruct mechanism to eliminate perceived threats, including Du Yu. However, it backfires as An Lu Shan, a powerful rebel, survives and reveals his demon lineage. Ultimately, it is disclosed that Du Yu fought and killed An Lu Shan, leaving the court in shock over the unexpected turn of events and Du Yu's pivotal role in thwarting the rebellion.
