Summary

Tang Wu Lin and his friends were on their way back when Gu Yue bid farewell and headed to the girls' dormitory. Tang Wu Lin and Xie Xie returned to their room, where Tang Wu Lin revealed that he thought he knew why his Golden Scales appeared. He explained that the first time they appeared was when Xie Xie's Light Dragon Dagger injured him, and the same thing happened again when the dagger scratched him. Xie Xie suggested that Tang Wu Lin might have a second Martial Soul, one that's hidden and needs a special power to trigger it. Tang Wu Lin wasn't sure, but the thought excited him. Xie Xie also mentioned the possibility of Martial Soul Fusion Technique, a powerful ability that can be used when two people's Martial Souls are highly compatible. The two boys decided to ask Teacher Wu Long about it and went to his room. Wu Long instructed Xie Xie to stab Tang Wu Lin with the Light Dragon Dagger to see if the Golden Scales would appear again. When Xie Xie made a small cut on Tang Wu Lin's arm, the Golden Scales emerged, covering his arm in diamond-shaped scales. Tang Wu Lin's palm also changed, with golden claws sprouting from the tips of his fingers. Wu Long then instructed Tang Wu Lin to channel his strength, and Tang Wu Lin gripped Wu Long's hand tightly.
