Summary

With only one day left before leaving, Ma Dong visits A Sa Xin's residence in Tianjing and his parents' old home, only to find them sealed by the Federation, indicating A Sa Xin's abrupt disappearance. He refrains from seeking help from Tianjing Academy, knowing it would lead to disaster, and turns to Qian Duo Duo for support. Pang Zi, an investor in the battle team, shares intelligence but cannot provide much help. The Federation claims Wang Chong has been sent to a better training ground, but Ma Dong suspects otherwise. After the public execution of Tu Mo, Ma Dong's family is exiled, and A Sa Xin's fall leaves him isolated. Rejecting Qian Duo Duo's food, Ma Dong lashes out in frustration, marking a definitive break from A Sa Xin. He wanders the city, eventually exiled and stripped of citizenship, losing all ties to his former life. As he scavenges for food in a garbage heap, he fights off other mutants to establish dominance in the area. Nearby, guards monitor him, discussing the orders from their superiors regarding A Sa Xin's remnants. The one-eyed dragon explains the importance of watching Ma Dong, believing he might lead them to hidden A Sa Xin members. As Ma Dong sleeps, the guards plan to leave for supplies, unaware of the faint tremor that awakens him.
