Summary

A carrier pigeon delivers a message as Li Yan Qing discusses military strategies with Cao Sheng and Mo Jun in his temporary residence. They strategize about recruiting palace guards and gaining the support of various commanders. Zhou Lin, the western city commander, proposes a condition for his allegiance—50 acres of land near West Lake, which Li Yan Qing agrees to, seeing it as a way to strengthen ties. Meanwhile, Wang Dao Qi refuses to cooperate, prompting Li Yan Qing to plan a different approach. An urgent message reveals progress in addressing a plague, and Li Yan Qing is visited by Zhang Shun, an old acquaintance seeking revenge against the Jin soldiers.
