Summary

You Xuan and Shi Dai explore the ruins of the Phoenix God, where Shi Dai feels a connection to the ancient statue. Suddenly, a cloaked figure, Xie Er, appears and attempts to capture the Phoenix God spirit using a card he possesses, empowered by the Orichalcos. A confrontation ensues, revealing differing philosophies on the relationship between duelists and their cards. Shi Dai challenges Xie Er to a duel, which is set as a two-on-one match against him and You Xuan. As the duel begins, Xie Er activates a dark barrier that puts the stakes high, stating that the loser's soul will be sacrificed.
