Summary

Inside the royal tent, Wang Shi Chong faces a petition for Zhu Jie's execution but decides to keep him temporarily for now. General Zhang Zhen Zhou warns that Zhu Jie’s presence could harm Wang's reputation. Wang, angered by Yuwen Chengdu's name on the petition, contemplates military power and decides to appoint Zhang as a civilian official and transfer Yuwen out of the capital to diminish his influence. Wang then meets Zhu Jie, who pleads for mercy, and ultimately promotes him to Dragon General after swearing loyalty. Meanwhile, Luo Cheng, a newly appointed Tiger General, leads a cavalry unit searching for supplies. After a long and fruitless search for fodder, he receives news of black bean flour in Linhuan County, which he quickly seeks out, securing a deal for the much-needed feed for his horses.
