Summary

Miao Yi, after leaving a dungeon, encounters Madam Yu and Yue Tian Bo playing chess. Yue Tian Bo offers Miao Yi a chance to become Palace Master if he can win against Madam Yu, who is revealed to be An Ru Yu, the Second Master. Miao Yi feigns ignorance about his past actions that led to trouble but eventually explains his connections with the four parasitic hosts and his involvement in the Liu Yun Sand Sea incident. An Ru Yu advises him to keep certain matters private and gifts him a set of robes made by her daughters, hinting at a potential future relationship. She informs him of his new position as Palace Master, which surprises Miao Yi, who hesitates to accept due to his past loyalties.
