Summary

Bai Ze is shocked to learn that Sister Xia is pregnant despite claiming she has never been with anyone. She missed her period and took a test that confirmed her pregnancy, but she is confused and distressed. Bai Ze reassures her and suggests a hospital visit next week. Later, while with Mo Zi, Bai Ze discusses the hypothetical situation of a woman becoming pregnant without prior sexual experience. Mo Zi explains that while asexual reproduction exists in nature, it’s impossible for humans. She suggests that if the woman is indeed pregnant, she must be lying. Bai Ze contemplates this as he finishes work and prepares for the evening.
