Summary

In a grand estate spanning 10 miles, Zhang Bai Ren inspects the property, considering its purchase. The broker reveals the owner is eager to sell for 8,000 taels, but Zhang offers only 1,000. The deal is struck, and as they celebrate, a gatekeeping officer confronts them, revealing a trap. A fight ensues, and Zhang's group defeats the attackers. Meanwhile, the county marquis learns of the transaction and orders the advisor who facilitated it to be punished. Guards violently expel the estate's inhabitants, executing the men and banishing the women and children, showcasing the ruthless nature of power in this borderland.
