Summary

In a dense, thorny forest, a warrior clears a path for his squad, led by Lin Ming, a former soldier from Base One. They sense something unusual in the eerie silence. Lin Ming sends volunteers to investigate a distress signal from Huo Huai De and his wife. Yue Chen, accompanied by a medic and the frightened Old Ka, learns of strange, ghost-like creatures that are hard to detect. As they approach the crash site, Old Ka reveals the creatures are intelligent and studying human technology. Yue Chen uses his consciousness to locate them, describing them as ominous, ghostly figures. He captures one of the creatures as they sense danger and flee deeper into the forest.
