Summary

The chapter follows Yang Qing as he gathers his generals and embarks on an expedition to explore Mount Wagang. Accompanied by his son Yang Ji and loyal soldiers, they discover a hidden valley and a cave filled with chests. Initially excited by the prospect of treasure, they soon realize the chests contain bricks instead of gold. Cheng Yaojin, who had led them into this trap, reveals his cunning plan from the mountaintop, leaving Yang Qing and his men trapped and at his mercy. Meanwhile, Li Jing, leading troops nearby, praises Cheng Yaojin's strategy while plotting Yang Qing's downfall. As Yang Qing faces despair, he clings to the hope of negotiating his surrender to save himself and his men.
