Chapter 754: I am old and ill. [754]

Summary

Wang Ning An returns early to his under-construction residence, which includes a mansion, two estates, a ranch, and a panda sanctuary. Despite his family's hedonism, he is cautious to avoid scandal. The Wang family is extravagantly acquiring land and resources, with many eager to become panda caretakers for a lucrative salary. Meanwhile, Wang Ning Ze captures grain thieves, punishing them and gaining public approval. As Wang Ning Ze struggles to find the culprits, Wen Ji Fu suggests attacking a local tribe to set an example. Reluctantly, Wang Ning Ze agrees, capturing the tribe's leader and turning others into laborers for Wang Ning An's projects. After being scolded by his brother for being too lenient, Wang Ning Ze shifts to a more aggressive stance against bandits, leading to increased prosperity in Liangzhou but devastation elsewhere. Wang Ning An sends a petition to secure more laborers, aiming to stabilize Liangzhou before expanding to Ganzhou. Meanwhile, Zhao Zhen, struggling with his eyesight, expresses frustration with corrupt officials, ultimately deciding to spare them from execution at his son's suggestion.
