Summary

The chapter follows Shi Mu as he prepares for the annual starting point conference in Shanghai and reflects on his recent teachings from his master, Makoto. Makoto imparts wisdom about the profound arts and Shi Mu's cultivation journey, leaving him enlightened yet contemplative. After three years of intense training, Shi Mu gains recognition for his achievements in the Demon Slaughter Order but then disappears from public view as conflicts arise between the three major holy lands. While in seclusion, Shi Mu learns from Ma Long that Cai Er, his spirit pet, has been taken by a monk to a mysterious place called the Heavenly Lotus Pool. Concerned for Cai Er's safety, Shi Mu and Ma Long decide to search for information about this location in the Holy Scripture Pavilion. As they prepare to leave, they encounter Jiang Ling Feng, who warns Shi Mu about the chaotic state of the Mi Yang Star Domain.
