Summary

After leaving the Food Pavilion, Qing Yang Huan and his companion settled near it, observing the celebration of Yan Qiongji's group after hunting the Shui Kui. As night fell, they grew anxious about the absence of the purple marten. When they attempted to leave, city guards blocked their exit due to a purple flame signaling their discovery. They fought off the guards and escaped into the forest. Later, they found a hiding spot, where the purple marten triumphantly revealed it had captured a water serpent. Qing Yang Huan was surprised by the ease of the capture and learned more about the marten's lineage, which was tied to the dragon clan. He also began to understand the marten's desire to shed its cursed bloodline.
