Summary

The shrine, expansive and dimly lit, features a towering deity statue that awakens and speaks to Pei Zi Yun, claiming to have aided him in defeating rebels. The statue warns against believing tales of evil spirits, asserting that they are the true enemies. Pei Zi Yun reflects on historical events involving the Grand General of Shinkawa and the Anton family, questioning the nature of the spirits and the changes in history. As the statue urges him to unite with it for power, Pei Zi Yun resists, asserting his own strength. The statue becomes enraged, revealing its true nature, while a terrified reporter, Shen He Yan Song, stumbles into the shrine, realizing the supernatural danger surrounding him.
