Summary

Ling Xia encounters an enigmatic old man, initially suspecting him to be the Evil Emperor of The Afterlife. The old man, appearing frail yet powerful, surprises Ling Xia by revealing himself as a fisherman, catching a large golden fish. However, he quickly transforms into a formidable figure, confirming his identity as the Evil Emperor. The old man explains that he has long been dead, now existing as an evil spirit due to the actions of a powerful beast. He reveals that the Mythical Battlefield is actually the Nine Realms Relic, a remnant of a time when nine Supreme Realms existed, which were destroyed in a great war. The remnants of these realms were consolidated into the current Qi Yuan Zhen Jie and the Mythical Battlefield. The Evil Emperor expresses disdain for the current order, revealing that the Mythical Battlefield serves to suppress the spirits of the defeated, turning them into prey for the living.
