Summary

In a somber setting, Gao Yang, Zhang Wei, Nana, and Chen Ying bury their deceased companions in a desolate maple forest, leaving behind empty graves to avoid detection. Chen Ying discovers a heartfelt letter from Sha Ye to her daughter, Yinyin, expressing love and urging her to cherish life despite their absence. Overwhelmed by guilt, Zhang Wei blames himself for the tragedy, while Chen Ying grapples with her own culpability. As Gao Yang tries to console her, Chen Ying seeks solace in a cold bath, ultimately succumbing to despair. Just as she nearly drowns, Nana rescues her, reminding her that death would be too easy for them.
