Chapter 737: Bombarding Wang An Shi [737]

Summary

Gou Ya Er, Zhao Shu, and Cao Ping are furious upon discovering the disappearance of the legendary alliance document. They suspect Fo Yin, a monk, might be behind it, but Zhao Shu urges caution. Gou Ya Er proposes a plan to confront Fo Yin under the guise of discussing an auction. When they find Fo Yin, he claims ignorance about the document's whereabouts but shifts blame to Zhao Cong Gu, while revealing that strangers have been lurking around the temple. As they interrogate him, it becomes clear that Fo Yin's carelessness in speaking during his sleep may have led to the document being stolen. They realize that the loss is not recent and must act without revealing their knowledge. Meanwhile, ominous events unfold in the capital, culminating in a catastrophic explosion at a gunpowder factory, leading to widespread chaos and calls for the dismissal of Wang An Shi, who is blamed for the turmoil.
