Summary

On the last day of the year 16, Shi Mu visits the Ten Thousand Laws Pavilion to obtain a demon-slaying token, where he encounters Zhao Jian, a prominent disciple who has achieved significant success in demon-slaying. Despite the tension between them, Shi Mu remains composed. After returning to the Aoba Holy Land stronghold, he notices changes in the environment and receives a summons to the demon-slaying hall. There, he reunites with familiar faces and learns about the demon-slaying mission from Guan Shan Hai, a Saint-level protector. When assigned to Zhao Jian's team, Shi Mu asserts his independence due to his experience, leading to a tense standoff with Guan Shan Hai, who ultimately allows him to operate alone.
