Summary

Yu Du Xiu is invited by Hu Shen, who expresses gratitude for his successful ritual to refine the Demon-Summoning Banner, which empowers the Demon Race against humans. However, Hu Shen offers Yu Du Xiu a choice: leave within the time of an incense stick or stay and follow her whims. When Yu Du Xiu hesitates, Hu Shen reveals the existence of a pre-natal spiritual root, enticing him to stay. She demands he infuse his soul into the Demon-Summoning Banner, threatening him with death otherwise. Ultimately, Yu Du Xiu, realizing he has no choice, complies, binding his spirit to the banner, and they become "family."
