Summary

Mo Wuji observes Shi Dan Shi's alchemy process, noting the lack of skill and the tedious nature of purifying spiritual medicine, which he is currently unable to do due to financial constraints. After an hour, Shi Dan Shi successfully refines six elixirs, the Condensation Pill, and boasts about becoming a third-grade medicinal pill master despite his limited qualifications. Mo Wuji feels disappointed by Shi Dan Shi's lack of true alchemical skill and refuses Shi Jun's offer to assist him, preferring to learn from others. He accepts a jade bottle containing the Condensation Pill, which he finds of little use. Mo Wuji plans to study alchemy further and seeks help from Wu Kai to care for Yan'er while he searches for spiritual herbs, as he cannot afford to buy them.
