Summary

Xiong Wen Jiao, feeling gloomy, brightens up upon meeting Zhu Ge Xian, a law student who admires her. However, unease creeps in as she senses being watched and encounters two men in black. Despite Hong Kong's supposed freedom, she feels trapped by powerful forces. In her hotel room, she meets Li Yun Dao, a mainland criminal police captain on a special mission. He claims their goals align, but Xiong is skeptical about his intentions and the mainland's influence in Hong Kong. Li Yun Dao assures her of safety and hints at a deeper connection to her investigations, but Xiong remains cautious and demands proof of his capabilities.
