Summary

Bai Ze and his companions are pursued by a fast and intelligent tomb guardian, which avoids reckless attacks. As they navigate through a gruesome scene of corpses, the creature seizes the opportunity to attack Bai Ze. Despite being overpowered, Bai Ze manages to defend himself with his machete. His companions, Wuxie and Pang Zi, are hesitant to shoot for fear of hitting Bai Ze. In a desperate struggle, Bai Ze rams his head into the creature's eye, causing it to scream in pain. Pang Zi shoots at the creature, but it escapes with Bai Ze still clinging on, leaving Wuxie and Pang Zi to chase after them, struggling to keep up.
