Summary

Shi Mu, satisfied with his recent blacksmithing job that earned him nearly 10,000 taels, encounters the Spirit Law Hall, where the Black Magic Sect tests sorcerer talent for a fee. He witnesses a young boy, bound and humiliated after failing the test, which causes hesitation among the onlookers. Despite the warnings and the recent misfortune of the boy, Shi Mu decides to enter the hall, determined to test his own talent. He pays the fee and is met with skepticism from the gray-robed elder, who reluctantly agrees to test him after Shi Mu shows resolve. Upon stepping onto the stone platform, the elder conducts the test, resulting in the activation of three crystal pillars with varying degrees of light, leaving the elder astonished.
