Summary

Xiao Fan, searching for Chen Wan'er, first interrogated soldiers at the North Gate about any recent carriages leaving the city but found no leads. He then shifted his focus to the South Gate, where a soldier mentioned a garbage cart had left two hours prior. Believing Chen Wan'er was hidden in it, Xiao Fan pursued the cart's path and discovered an abandoned one. After two hours of searching, he spotted a suspicious convoy with armed men, suspecting they were soldiers from the Tian Feng Empire. Determined to rescue Chen Wan'er, he confronted the convoy, demanding her release while attempting to appear imposing despite being outnumbered.
