Summary

Luo Zhao received a letter from Meng Shan Ming, who had cut off one ear from each of the 600,000 prisoners and sent them to the rear patrol. The letter stated that if Luo Zhao wasn't satisfied, Meng Shan Ming would continue to slaughter the people of Song. Luo Zhao was furious and wanted to vent his anger, but he couldn't afford to create more complications. He realized that Meng Shan Ming was trying to provoke him and keep him entangled in the Yan Kingdom. A rider arrived with a decree from Emperor Mu Zhuo, instructing Luo Zhao to leave no one alive after capturing Yanjing and to massacre the city. However, the decree also gave Luo Zhao a deadline to capture Yanjing, and if he failed, he was to return to aid.
