Summary

Ye Quan and Yuan Bing Yan face hostility from villagers while seeking directions. After being chased away, they hear a woman’s cry for help in the forest. They find Chu Xiao Hua, the village chief’s daughter, bitten by a snake. Ye Quan saves her by extracting the venom and applying medicinal herbs. Grateful, the village chief invites them to his home, but when Ye Quan asks about a doctor with the surname You, the villagers remain evasive. Despite their hospitality, it’s clear the villagers are hiding something. The chapter ends with the duo staying in the village, unaware of an impending crisis.
