Summary

Ouyang Ming is jolted from his thoughts by Da Huang, who is drawn to a mysterious black mud near a coffin. Despite Da Huang's eagerness, Ouyang Ming refuses to let him interact with it, valuing Da Huang too much to use him as a test subject. Ouyang Ming then conjures a large head from his mental power, which unexpectedly begins to devour the outer shell of a round shield he possesses. This outer shell, initially impervious to fire, is quickly consumed, revealing a golden small shield with powerful runes. The shield, identified as the Ancient Dragon Shield, is a three-star magical artifact with impressive attributes, including the ability to never shatter or wear out. Ouyang Ming realizes that wielding such a powerful artifact requires significant cultivation, far beyond his current capabilities.
