Summary

Under heavy arrow fire from the Sui army, the Goguryeo supply ships surrendered, leading to the capture of Commander Qian Yong. He was coerced by Lai Hu Er into revealing the destination of the supply fleet. Wugucheng, a strategically vital city for Goguryeo, was reinforced after previous occupations and housed three thousand troops under Lord Mu Wen De. Meanwhile, Shen Guang, a Sui scout commander with a history in Goguryeo, planned a stealthy approach to Wugucheng with his elite unit. As night fell, Sui soldiers disguised as Goguryeo troops arrived with grain supplies, leading to suspicion from Mu Wen De due to the unusual silence aboard the ships. As laborers began unloading, Shen Guang positioned his scouts for an attack, but the arrival of Mu Wen De and his soldiers created tension, compounded by a sudden disturbance in the nearby woods that drew attention away from the city wall.
