Summary

Xiao Gu Yao, trapped in the memories of her past life, follows two figures towards a city tower, overwhelmed by the stench of corpses. Despite being a mere observer, she unexpectedly senses the smell, possibly due to her 17th reliving of this memory. As she approaches the city gate, she scrutinizes a mother and daughter, both emaciated and sickly. Gu Yao, her past self, awakens and warns her not to approach the opening gate. Suddenly, the grotesque transformation of the mother and child, with worm masses replacing their eyes, horrifies Xiao Gu Yao, intensifying her anxiety as ominous footsteps approach.
