Chapter 7: Young Man. [9]
Summary
In the morning, Grandma prepared porridge and special dishes for Yue Chen and the orphans, despite their poverty. Yue Chen reflected on a happy dream about his mother while receiving good news from Big Brother Li about their land. Dai Er, a caretaker for disabled orphans, reminded Yue Chen about their baths. He used herbal solutions and acupuncture to help the children, who had become quieter under his care. Later, Shen Li Dan, a fellow student, unexpectedly arrived in a car, concerned about Yue Chen's well-being after a recent fight. She insisted on taking him for a check-up, but he preferred to go to school. Despite his reluctance, she planned to treat him to lunch and even buy him a computer as a thank-you for saving her. Yue Chen was intrigued by the city but felt it was out of reach for him. He agreed to meet her for lunch after school.Full content
