Chapter 7: Qing Wen. [6]

Summary

Jia Huan greeted Yuan Yang, who introduced him to Qing Wen, a beautiful maid assigned to his quarters. Surprised by her beauty and skills, he admired her but clarified he only needed her help as a maid, not as a concubine. Qing Wen, aware of her status, firmly set boundaries. Despite this, Jia Huan felt a protective instinct towards her, wanting to prevent her tragic fate. As news of Qing Wen's arrival spread, Jia Huan maintained a clean and leisurely environment for her. He excelled in his studies, gaining recognition for his poetry, while Qing Wen assisted Ruyi with daily tasks. Their interactions hinted at a budding bond, contrasting with the chaotic dynamics of the Jia household.
