Summary

In a post-apocalyptic setting, Michael wakes up first and discovers the dire news of military losses. After a brief encounter with Bill and Frances, they decide to set off towards a signal flare. Navigating through a dangerous forest, they face multiple infected, including a ghoul and a Smoker. Despite injuries, they find a Humvee and rush to an evacuation point, only to miss a helicopter. They learn of an impending nuclear strike and manage to intercept a speedboat for escape. As they flee, a nuclear explosion occurs behind them, marking a temporary victory for the group.
