Summary

In the midst of a military ascent, a soldier named Lu Zheng urgently seeks an audience with Commander Meng Shan Ming, causing a commotion. Despite initial annoyance, Meng Shan Ming listens to Lu Zheng's concerns about the dangers of camping on a densely forested mountain, fearing fire attacks from the enemy. Lu Zheng, a Centurion and a scholar, explains his decision to join the army after feeling useless as a scholar. Meng Shan Ming is amused by Lu Zheng's passion and decides to take him under his wing, much to the surprise of others, including Zhang Hu. Meanwhile, Wu Qun Lie contemplates the situation and considers fire attacks against Meng Shan Ming's forces, unsure of their opponent's strategy.
