Chapter 69: Sudden Appearance of Human Tracks. [72]

Summary

Zhang Xuan focused on horseback archery for ten days under the guidance of Xin Yu, who was an exceptional archer. He made impressive progress, able to hit targets while galloping, which impressed his companions. During practice, an intimate moment occurred between Zhang Xuan and Xin Yu, but they were interrupted by Cheng Yaojin. Later, they discovered severed heads and headless corpses in the woods, indicating a recent massacre, likely by the Turks. They decided to change their route to avoid potential danger. Meanwhile, in the Bayegu tribe, Tule, the chief, was heavily intoxicated, and his daughter A Su ensured he was undisturbed. Zhang Zhong Jian and Chai Shao plotted to retrieve a treasure map from Tule's tent, using a sleeping potion to incapacitate A Su. Zhang Zhong Jian successfully infiltrated the tent, found a sheepskin scroll containing the treasure map, and escaped undetected.
