Summary

Lu Chen and Yi Xin exit a forest into a river valley where they find a patch of bloodthirsty demon flowers and a bloodstain from a missing yellow leopard. Lu Chen checks Yi Xin's injured arm, relieved that her bone isn't broken, and then becomes lost in thought. Yi Xin, wanting to help, tends to a wounded little black dog, but her inexperience causes the dog pain, leading to cries of anguish. Lu Chen, frustrated by Yi Xin's attempts, steps in to assist the dog himself. He shaves the dog's fur with a sword, exposing its wounds, and then treats the injuries with medicinal powder and bandages. Despite the dog's suffering, it endures the painful treatment, earning Lu Chen's admiration for its resilience.
