Summary

In "River of Life," Chu Xue comforts Gao Yang, who is distraught over Qing Ling's condition. She assures him that Qing Ling can be saved, despite her heart being missing. Chu Xue performs a ritual to revive Qing Ling, pulling her soul from her body and infusing it back into her chest. After the revival, Gao Yang administers a serum to stabilize Qing Ling, who eventually begins to breathe again. The chapter concludes with Gao Yang expressing gratitude to Chu Xue, who mysteriously disappears after the ordeal.
