Summary

In the 13th layer of the Xuanqiong Tower, the Flame of Li disciples, led by Wen Hua, strategize to light their Xuanqiong tokens by splitting into two teams: one to hunt phantom beasts and the other to guard the spatial passage. After several hours and the loss of three disciples, they successfully light all tokens and enter the 14th layer, which is a dark, eerie environment filled with rotting sludge and corpses. They encounter giant corpses that attack them with arrows made from the sludge. After a fierce battle, they manage to defeat some corpses but lose two more disciples. The next day, they meet a large group from the Gan Tian, Zhen Lei, and Kan Shui sects, leading to a tense confrontation. The Gan Tian sect openly admits to manipulating the spatial passage, causing further conflict. Despite the rising tensions, both sides refrain from fighting, and Wen Hua leads his group away.
