Summary

In a pawnshop in Feng Zhou Cheng, a middle-aged shopkeeper examines a jade pendant and refuses to accept it, citing its royal significance. The man in a straw hat claims he found it, leading to an offer of one thousand taels. After the transaction, the man, Li Yi, leaves with herbs but is followed by thieves. He evades them and knocks out their leader, collecting money from them. Meanwhile, Young Master Bai visits a shop, concerned for Wan Ru after her encounter with bandits. He presents her with a valuable calligraphy piece by renowned poet Zhao Xiu Wen as an apology. Despite her reluctance, he insists she accept it, while others debate its authenticity.
