Summary

On the 8th day of the Xuan Qiong Tower's opening, three disciples from the Water of Kan sect are attacked by a massive octopus phantom beast while riding a giant eagle. The beast captures one disciple, and the others are teleported out just in time. Outside the tower, eight sect masters observe the progress of their disciples through purple mirrors. The Thunder and Lightning Sect leads, followed by the Water of Kan, with the Flame of Li unexpectedly performing well. Wen Hua from the Flame of Li battles phantom beasts, showcasing his strength. Shi Mu and Yan Luo, also from the Flame of Li, team up to defeat giant bear phantom beasts and reach the 12th floor. As they ascend, they encounter snow kite phantom beasts, which they defeat with ease. They decide to wait for other disciples to catch up before continuing their climb, avoiding drawing too much attention.
