Summary

Lu Chen suddenly stops while Yi Xin, hiding nearby, feels overwhelmed with fear. A strange man, gnawing on a leopard's leg, curses and expresses his frustration at not capturing a woman he was after. He becomes aggressive when Lu Chen confronts him, but Lu Chen swiftly injures him with a sword. As the strange man writhes in pain, Yi Xin, frightened, approaches Lu Chen, who explains that the man is a barbarian, one of the few left after a great war. Lu Chen reveals that some barbarians were left behind due to the war's devastation, and they now struggle for survival, often turning to violence. Yi Xin learns that the strange man was likely banished from his tribe for being too weak to hunt and was waiting to die while preying on others. Lu Chen warns her about the trap set for her, leaving her feeling cold and fearful of what could have happened.
