Summary

In August, the heat in Yanshan Prefecture is oppressive, and merchants gather at a tea stall, discussing the recent passage of troops and the potential chaos in Pingzhou. The shopkeeper reveals that Commander Zhang Jiao has pledged Pingzhou to the Song Dynasty after killing Jin generals, raising fears of war. Zhang Jiao's actions are part of a larger strategy, as Pingzhou is strategically significant and previously under Jin control. Guo Yao Shi, a military leader, learns of Jin troop movements and the demand for Zhang Jiao's head, realizing the precarious situation. He decides to inform the court and sends messages to both the capital and the Jin camp.
