Summary

Ji Ze Hai is located at the edge of Yong Ying Xian Yu, the least spiritually rich of the seven immortal realms, making cultivation nearly impossible. Xian Qi Village, a small fishing village, is sparsely populated and its residents cannot cultivate due to lacking spiritual roots. Despite this, they live long lives, often exceeding two hundred years. Thirteen-year-old Yu Jing Feng, a talented fisherman, discovers a skeleton on the beach with a ring on one of its fingers. Realizing the ring could bring him wealth, he initially feels excitement but remembers his grandfather's teachings about perseverance and the dangers of greed. Meanwhile, Mo Wu Ji, a cultivator, is in a weakened state with most of his meridians severed. He connects to his Immortal Realm and uses a storage gourd to begin repairing his body. Yu Jing Feng later brings Mo Wu Ji back to his home, where his grandfather expresses concern about the implications of saving an immortal. Despite the risks, Yu Jing Feng believes he did the right thing by helping Mo Wu Ji.
