Summary

In a vintage apartment, a 23-year-old sister and her 14-year-old brother share dinner. She works as a mortician, a job she finds fulfilling despite its challenges. The brother, concerned for her, suggests alternative work but is reprimanded. He surprises her with a birthday gift—contact lenses, which he bought with money earned from doing homework for a classmate. Their playful banter turns serious when the brother transforms into a monstrous creature, leaving the sister in shock. Meanwhile, Suzaku wakes from a nap to a frantic call from Ishii about an emergency at a barbecue shop, prompting her to rush out.
