Summary

In the story, Luo Chen and Xiao Hu bury a corpse in a feng shui spot, leading to the spirits of two children thanking them before disappearing. They discover valuable porcelain bowls gifted by the children. Visiting a village, they learn that the men have gone to assist archaeologists after an earthquake unearthed an ancient tomb. Xiao Hu recalls a past incident involving a missing young intellectual and a bear-human creature in the mountains. After a harrowing encounter with the creature, he finds the young intellectual in a cave, where they are drawn into a strange shadow play.
