Summary

Zhang Xuan appointed Yang Lun, the two-year-old grandson of the Prince of Teng, as the new emperor of the Sui Dynasty, with the era name changed to Xingning. Empress Dowager Xiao established Zhang Xuan as regent and appointed various officials to key positions. Zhang Xuan's first order was to rename Anyang County to Zhongdu and prepare for the court's relocation.
