Summary

In Chang'an, Liu De wakes up to a gentle rain, realizing it's May, the month he was made a prince in his past life. His brother Liu E visits, anxious about the enfeoffment of princes, particularly concerning dangerous regions like Changsha. Liu De reassures Liu Yan, another brother, promising to help him avoid a dire fate. Liu De reflects on the political maneuvering among the princes and his own strategies. He waits to see the Emperor while contemplating the motives of the Marquis of Kaifeng, Tao Qing, who seems to be acting independently. Meanwhile, Liu De deals with personal health issues, feeling unwell and contemplating a hospital visit.
