Chapter 65: Demolishing the Wall. [65]
Summary
Hong Jie persuades the narrator to help with a task involving three-in-one soil in a tomb, which can be softened with young boys' urine and vinegar. After days of drinking excessive water, they manage to break through a wall, discovering a breeze indicating an exit. Tension arises as Researcher An, who fears being left behind, begs to join them. They push her through first, but upon entering the new area, they find it muddy and reminiscent of a scene from earlier murals, suggesting the presence of unseen figures. Doubts about hallucinations and the reality of their situation linger as they prepare to escape.Full content
