Summary

An Zheng confronts the Blood Bat, whose eyes harbor a destructive hatred. Despite the beast's malice, An Zheng defends his friend Cai Da Tou, ultimately killing the Blood Bat with his sword. Afterward, he reflects on the incomplete corpse of a cloud beast and prepares to journey to Hongyuan City, the ancestral land of the Zuo Family, where he seeks revenge against Zuo Jian Tang. An Zheng and his companions purchase a boat and enjoy a leisurely trip down the river, but their peace is disrupted by mysterious disturbances. The boatmen fear a Dragon King, leading to sacrificial offerings. Du Shoushou, eager for adventure, jumps into the water to investigate the source of the whirlpool, armed with the Sea Emperor's Trident, ready to face whatever lurks below.
